Shoko Fuyuumi (冬海 笙子 Fuyuumi Shōko) is a first year music department student who shows a promise with the clarinet and a good friend of Kahoko Hino and Nami Amou.

Shoko is an extremely shy and quiet girl who is very hesitant and easily intimidated. With that shyness, she also doesn't exactly like the spotlight (in other words, the center of attention), so she gets really nervous when that happens.

When the school organized a training camp, Shoko's family's vacation home was used, indicating she comes from a very wealthy family and she looks up to Kahoko Hino as a role model and wants to be like her.

- The name Shoko means "Japanese free reed" (笙) (shou) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Shoko's surname Fuyuumi means "winter" (冬) (fuyu) and "sea, ocean" (海) (umi).
- Like Kahoko Hino and her other potential love interests in Kin'iro no Corda 1&2, Shoko's family name has the umi 海 part, corresponding to the planet Neptune (海王星 Kai'ousei) in Japanese characters.
