Ryotaro Tsuchiura (土浦 梁太郎 Tsuchiura Ryōtarō) is a second year student from Seiso Academy General Education Department who entered concourse because of his accompaniment for Kahoko Hino.
Personality[]
Ryotaro is one of Kahoko Hino's closest friends whom he met after he ran into her that he nearly knocks her down a staircase, saving her in the nick of time. Their friendship eventually grows, and she even confesses to him that she knew nothing about violins. He looks out for her and often helps her. Their relationship is often mistaken as that of a couple by other people in the school and even by Mizue Sakimoto (Ryotaro's ex-girlfriend). He is popular among the other students who has the respect of most male students and the female students admire him but find him a little hard to talk to.
Background[]
Ryotaro is the son of a piano teacher who is a piano prodigy, but he quit piano at a young age after winning a bobby prize because of his age contrasted with his advanced playing, where as Len Tsukimori won a grand prize at the same competition with his violin until Kahoko Hino found Ryotaro playing the piano at a music shop, he had never let anyone at his school know that he played the piano. During the concourse, he is forced to pick between the piano and the soccer club as he is the ace player on the team, and chooses the concourse, because music brings him joy.
Plot[]
Ryotaro is a 2nd year of the general section of the Seisô Academy where he met Kahoko Hino on the stairs of the school, when she was about to fall that he caught her and he then helped her bring books to the music section class. He met Len Tsukimori there for the first time and the two aren't in a good relationship. Ryotaro seems not to like the students of the musical section, saying that Tsukimori did not give a good image of this section.
While Kahoko has participatedon the high school musical competition, Ryotaro wants to do everything to help and support her. Because of the old music competition in which he participated, he did not reveal to anyone that he plays the piano. But his secret was discovered by Kahoko, while playing at the Minami music store, the girl came by chance and found him playing on the store's piano.

Etymology[]
- The name Ryotaro means "beam" (梁) (ryo), "thick, big" (太) (ta) and "son" (郎) (ro).
- Ryotaro's surname Tsuchiura means "soil" (土) (tsuchi) and "bay, inlet" (浦) (ura).
- Like Kahoko and her other potential love interests in Kin'iro no Corda 1&2, his family name has the tsuchi 土 part, corresponding to the planet Saturn (土星 Tosei) in Japanese characters.
