Ayano Takashina (高階 礼乃, Takashina Ayano) is a high school student in first year the same as Miyabi Yunoki and the prospective fiance of Azuma Yunoki.
Appearance[]
Despite being a first year, Ayano has a mature appearance with long black hair that has square bangs covering her eyebrows with two bangs framing her face, grey eyes and a mole under her left eye.
She is seen wearing two different outfits:
- When she first met Kahoko Hino, she wear an elegant kimono or sort.
- When attending school, she had the same uniform as Miyabi Yunoki.
Personality[]
Ayano has a very weird way of speech which gives people the wrong impression and she has been chasing Azuma Yunoki for few years since their meeting, even though she doesn't see Kahoko Hino as her rival, she is very well in love with him.
Ayano is perfect in all aspects, except that she has the tendency to give out bad first impressions of herself in front of people.
Background[]
Ayano is from a wealthy family like Azuma Yunoki does, their grandmother arranged them engagement to make their families become prosperous although Azuma doesn't harbor any feelings on her. It is revealed that Azuma and Ayano first met during a party when they were younger and she instantly fell in love when Azuma gave her a glass of juice. However, during the near end of the 14th episode, he asks her to focus on her studies and grow up properly, not chasing after him and wasting her youth on things such as their engagement.

- The name Ayano means "salute, bow, ceremony, thanks/thankful, remuneration, gratitude/expression of gratitude" (礼) (aya) and "from" (乃) (no).
- Ayano's surname Takashina means "tall, high" (高) (taka) and "floor, storey" (階) (shina).
- Part of the surname Shina can also mean "poem, poetry" (詩), "chronicle, history" (史) or "aspire, hopes, intention, motive, plan, resolve, shilling" (志) (shi) and "Nara, what?" (奈) or "vegetables, greens, side dish" (菜) (na).

- Ayano was called bishōjo by Kahoko Hino when she first saw her.
- Ayano attends the same school as Miyabi Yunoki, though it is hinted that Miyabi herself isn't too fond of Ayano as well.
